Overview

In order to further develop the state’s cultural properties, in particular historic buildings such as castles, monasteries and estates, and thus to put state property to a sensible and sustainable use, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Finance was considering establishing hospitality operations in these properties.

Solution

Prof. Dr. Christian Buer has been awarded a framework agreement for feasibility studies and profitability analyses for seven historic buildings. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Christian Buer has supported the project in the search for investors in the field of hotel and restaurant operations.

Implementation

Feasibility studies were prepared for the cultural-historical objects and profitability analyses were calculated. Concepts for the conversion of historic buildings to hotel & restaurant and also a business plan & business model emerge from this.
Due to the developments by Covid19, no construction projects have started yet.
