Ramada/H2 Alexanderplatz Berlin – Berlin, DE
Hotel-specific Project Support for TLG Immbilien GmbH in the case of a property at Berlin's Alexanderplatz.
When Horwath HTL was commissioned by TLG Immobilien GmbH in 2007 to provide hotel-specific support for the project, it started with the monitoring of the contract process between TLG and the main tenant, the Hospitality Alliance AG. Additionally, the design/architecture of the facade was not yet defined and Horwath HTL carried out an architectural competition promoted by the state of Berlin. One particular challenge was the requirement for a cost-effective facade in production and operation, while at the same time complying with the functional requirements for fire, heat and noise protection.
Ultimately, the office Nalbach + Nalbach was awarded the contract for the tender.
Horwath HTL put together the entire planning team and took over the further course of the project, especially the continuous tenant coordination until the completion of the project.
In March 2011, the office and hotel complex “Die Welle. Mitte.”, with approximately 27,000m² of floor space, opened its doors. Since then, Berlin’s overnight guests have a further 337 rooms at the Ramada and 288 rooms at the H2 (European premiere!).
